What is @rcadeCon?
@rcadeCon is a brand new Irish convention that brings together Anime, Gaming, Music and Movie fans for one awesome weekend in July.
When is it?
@rcadeCon will be running on the weekend of the 1st to the 3rd of July 2011.
Where is it?
@rcadeCon 2011 will be held in theD4 Hotels, Ballsbridge Inn.
When does it start?
The convention will begin on Friday the 1st of July. Exact time to be announced.
When does it finish?
The convention will end on Sunday evening on the 3rd of July. Exact time to be announced.
Who is behind @rcadeCon 2011?
@rcadeCon was founded by Declan Doody and Rebekah Burke, owners of the @rcade, Irelands only online gamer and geek magazine and community. It is being organised by a full committee, who will get their very own information page here soon.
Where can I register?
You can register online very soon - keep an eye out for our online pre-registration opening in the middle of February.
How much is it?
Day Pass: 20 EURO
Weekend Pass: 35 EURO

Can I get a refund if I change my mind about going?
No. Passes are non-refundable but we are able to accommodate transfers if you would like to give your ticket to someone else.
How can I transfer my ticket?
To transfer tickets please send us an email at email@example.com. In the email please include all your registration details, including the number of tickets and the names of those attending, as well as the name and contact details of the person you wish to transfer your ticket to.
When does registration end?
Online registration will close on the 10th of June 2011.
Can I pay to enter on the day?
Yes provided that spaces are available, the grounds have a maximum capacity of 1,500 but we recommend you pre-register to ensure you get in!
Can I register online and pay on the day?
TNo, unfortunately this is not an option.
Do I need a parent/guardian with me??
Anyone under the age of 13 MUST be accompanied by a parent/guardian, and there will be age restrictions for certain events which will be listed in the Events page. Anyone under the age of 18 will be given a minors pass.
Will I need to bring ID?
Why do I need to bring ID?
If you purchased your tickets online we will need proof of your identity. I.D. will be needed as proof of age – certain events are over 18 and there is a bar on-site.
What forms of ID are acceptable?
Drivers Licence .
Student I.D. – Photograph & Date of Birth MUST be clear on given I.D.
National Age Card.
How can I get there?
The following Dublin Bus services operate daily and stop directly outside the venue: 7, 7A, 45, 63, 84,4, 5, 18
Trains are available from Connelly and Pearse Street station to Lansdowne Road Station, which is located a short walk away from the venue.
The Ballsbridge Inn is located on the Pembroke Road, R118. Parking is available on Hotel grounds.
What accommodation is available?
With the convention being held in the D4 Hotels there will be plenty of on-site accommodation available. Rooms will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis: prices and discounts will be seen on the accommodation page. We recommend booking in advance to ensure you get the best and most convenient accommodation for the weekend of @rcadeCon.

Can I come in cosplay?
Of course! We encourage anyone interested in cosplay to come along and do so and show us their stuff.
My cosplay requires props (sword, gun, etc) - What can I bring with me?
You are not allowed to bring anything that could endanger yourself or another attendees safety. Real weapons (swords, guns, ninja equipment, etc.) are not acceptable and will be confiscated and only returned when the owner leaves the premises. Props made from plastic, foam, light timber, paper, cloth, etc. are acceptable. We ask that you take care while brandishing/using them.
How do I know if my costume is acceptable?
Your costume should not hinder your movement so as to cause an accident, offensive or be too revealing – with private parts covered. Remember that while you might be having fun other people will also be attending and you are expected to be mindful and respectful
